An original alternative rock band started in 2023 by lead singer Gabriela, and joined by Leon on the bass, and Jay on the drums in mid 2025. They combined bringing elements of modern, meets classic rock with a twist of punk jabbed into your lower back. Spider Baby is currently in studio recording their first EP, with a release coming summer 2026.

With inspiration from classic rock, grunge, and punk, Gabriela drop kicks the 70’s into the 90’s, then drags that into the modern streets of Chicago. Just add a twist of post punk poetry as lyrics and we’re navigating through her traumas together !!!
Alyx
BASS GUITAR
Alyx’s powerful bass riffing slaps you right across the face as this mad scientist takes on the role of low end lead, where nothing less than 6 strings will do. Their melodies transform the bottom end of the mix into a melting pot of magic, you can only close your eyes and hope to wake up from.
Jay
DRUMS & KEYS
Jay delivers an ear pounding kick and snare rhythm that has you questioning your sanity. Watch closely or you won’t see those 32nd notes creeping up from behind you. Classically trained and playing multiple instruments, Jay brings a new layer into the bands sound.

We are already working on our first EP and it is sounding amazing, we have been sleeping in the booth at LUMIN8 Productions just to have it ready by early 2026 !!! We can’t wait to share all this hard work with everyone.
